Hey Everyone!
So this week was really interesting. i loved this week to death but at the same time, it felt like death. ill get to that later tho. again we had a lot of lessons with recent converts and less actives this week. we are in a finding stage right now so unless i say otherwise, everyone in this letter is a member of the church.

So today was a pretty good Pday. sports day was really cool. we played american football instead of the other football haha. im sorry but, football just isnt fun for me. i suck so bad haha. its a good work out tho. after that of course we came and did emails and shopping. shopping was super bad for me. i still had some leftover money from a few months ago so i decided to use it this week. it was like $8000 Jamaican! that means i had like 15000 to spend on food. but dont worry. i didnt do that haha. i just spent like 7700 (about $80 US). it was a lot of snack food tho. most of my dinners are just me snacking on things. i find that so much easier to do. i just get so lazy after we come home and get done planning. plus i dont really have much time. most of the time we have less than an hour before we have to be in bed. but we finally did have a lesson with Kayann. in the week and a half that i have been here, we tried everyday to have a lesson with her and she was never home. we finally caught her tho. we had a good lesson on the book of mormon. we just kinda followed up on her reading and asked if she would be at church on sunday. she has a solid testimony, which makes me wonder why she is less active.

so today was kinda frustrating. our bikes have been broken for a while so, to save money, i tried to fix them. elder norman doesnt really know how to so i was left on my own haha. it was just having to put on a new tire and replace the tubes, so thank heavens it wasnt rocket science haha. well after about 2 or 2.5 hours i got them fixed. when we started riding, elder normans wheel fell off. that kinda made me mad but we got the thing fixed and he was all good. he didnt really fall off it just came off when we were about to refix it. then my wheel was loose so we had to stop like 3 times to fix that. we went up to a member way fast to follow up on a referral, and after we left, my bike did the typical "BOOM! PSSSST" thing. well, my brand new tube tore right at the valve. i have to get a new tube cause i cant patch it up. that really ticked me off. today i am just gonna go to a bike guy and say "here's my bike. fix it." wont that make his day haha. now we will be walking the whole week cause we dont have time to get all the stuff and take it to a bike shop. this is why most of the days now wont have too much about appointments. we dont have a lot since we walk all the time haha. but we have simone, and investigator, who might be avoiding us now. why is it every time i go somewhere someone just avoids us then haha. we will have to get that figured out here soon. but i also hit a dog in the foot with a rock. we always pass by some dogs and all they do is bark at us. we always pick up stones to throw at them incase someone is not outside. it was dark and no one was there. we hit the thing in the head first and it just tried to eat the rock! they think everything we throw is food! well i then threw like 3 rocks at them. i missed the first time (from like 8 feet nonetheless), then skimmed a different dog on the second try. then smacked the thing in the foot on the third one. i really hope that i broke its foot. i hate jamaican dogs so much. US dogs are ok. but the ones here are just awful. the good thing is that most of them are cowards. just dont mess with the pitbulls. never mess with the pitbulls...... they still bark at us all the time but one day, they will regret it haha
Wednesday 2-26-14
so today was probably the worst day of the week. we had a good zone meeting dont get me wrong. but most of our appointments fell through. it sucks the most cause since we have to walk to them all, we end up walking somewhere for nothing. we dont even find someone on the street to talk to. lots of patience being tested right now. hopefully we can get back and going here soon. we did go and see the davis family tho. they are fro a different branch but moved here a year ago and havent been to church since. we just went and answered A TON of questions that they had. i think we spent like 80 minutes answering their questions. one of the girls likes us, in not a good way, but she is 15 so whatever. never going to happen haha.
Thursday 2-27-14
So today was kinda a funny day. Nakeitha had some photos of her wedding a few years ago and we burned them. there is a major situation there that i dont know of and wont even try to know. but she hates the guy and we burned photos of him. she even recorded it haha. super funny. we are starting to get a lot of referrals from the members. we went to one member and she gave us her neighbors that sandwich her. her son, a missonary down here as well, also gave us a few names when i asked for them. we are hoping to teach these people soon. we also have a couple in a rich scheme that we need to contact so this is going to be a good few weeks haha. we were supposed to have our coordination meeting with the branch mission leader, but, in the words of his wife, "he completely forgot about the meeting". we were a bit ticked on that but nothing we could really do. so we just went and got dinner at a cook shop. they have such good food and its well worth the price. you get an overflowed dinner plate for like $300 (like $3 US). such good prices and super good food!
Friday 2-28-14
man how today was interesting. we had a pretty good super planning. and then when we went out teaching at 2, we started the day off 0/5. that didnt really help with confidence. we spent like 2 hours walking around with no one to teach. we did end up going to a less active youth and sharing a thought with him. so that really helped out haha. after that we did pretty well. we went and saw another youth and tried to get a referral. not the best lesson. she told us about her neighbors tho. we asked if we could go there and, no joke, she told us "no way, they are evil". we just kinda laughed. i mean, its a 14 year old. not the best person to go to for referrals. just a likkle desperate at this point haha. and then we had the campbells. we didnt have too much time with them cause we took a likkle too much time with our lesson right before. we showed them the family proclamation. saturday is when we are getting into it more. other good news, their daughter is now going to be baptized at the end of march. she knows all the info its just that that is the day she feels good about. she wont be my convert tho. it will be for elder norman and elder henderson. they taught all the lessons haha.
Saturday 3-1-14
holy cow is it really march! im almost at 7 months! so crazy. and it just gets faster and faster. kinda cool but also really sad haha. so, to state a point i hopefully made before, I HATE WALKING SO MUCH! we put on like 7 miles a day i think. forget what my packet said haha. today we did some service in a very rich scheme. we painted a wall that is right by the road. it wasnt really our area but the zone leaders said that they could use the help so we went and helped out for a while. painting is pretty weird haha. i can see why people would pay someone else to do it haha. we also continued are discussion with the campbells at the end of the day. that lesson went for like 90 minutes cause everyone had so much to say! i could feel the spirit the whole time we all talked about families. it made me realize how much that i really do love my family ;) its sad that i have to be away from them but for the lord, its worth it.
Sunday 3-2-14
so today my day was made. Nakeitha called a speed bump a...... sleeping policeman! i thought that that was a false word that some stupid american made up to make an app but its not fake! i was going on about it for so long. ok for only like a minute but my day was made because of it! we then went down to one of our rich schemes to see about a meeting that was going on there. we were going to offer our service. well the meeting wasnt where they said it would be. by the time we found it, it was too late to do anything there. so we came back up and went to the carter family. we just went up there to set up another cottage meeting. that family is super cool. their daughter, whose only time seeing me was when i threw up like 2 weeks ago, sat on my lap. i didnt really know what to do since thats against the white handbook. i decided it was a spirit of the law type of thing and just let it happen. the carters didnt really do anything about it so it couldnt have been bad. ill repent if i find out it was tho haha.
So thats my week. again........ i really hate walking. if my bike breaks again i may just demand to get a car haha. but i hope that everything back home is just fantastic! im so glad that i get to be out here serving a mission. at first it was the scariest thing ever but now its the best thing that i could ever do in my life (so far haha). the mission really has made my life and i cant wait to prove to myself that i learned things on my mission that apply in the world back home!
Love,
